The Milestone, winner of the 2005 Best Small Hotel in London award, is a 5 star intimate, boutique hotel situated in the heart of London's fashionable Kensington area, overlooking Kensington Palace and minutes from the prime concert venue of the Royal Albert Hall and the fantastic Knightsbridge shops including Harrods and Harvey Nicholls and within easy reach of London's West End where you can enjoy both culture and retail therapy.
As you would expect from a winner of the RAC 2004 "Credit to Industry" award, the Milestone offers every possible comfort and modern facility to its guests, combined with first class service and many extras such as your own 24 hour butler. There are 45 individually styled guest rooms including ones specially for lady guests, 12 luxury suites and an additional 6 apartments. The apartments are for the Milestone's longer staying guests and are self-contained "homes from home" with a grocery pack and kitchen including washing machine, but of course you can still avail yourself of all the Milestone's facilities including 24 hour room service and butler. Most of the suites have king -sized four poster beds and all guests staying here can enjoy complimentary canapes, butler service and use of the Milestone's own chauffeur driven Bentley to and from the airport.
The Miletone has its own fitness suite with a full range of cardio-vascular equipment, sauna and resistance pool. The fully qualified staff will will work out a jogging routine for you which you can enjoy in the fresh air and open acres of Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. There is also 24 hour in-room beauty treatment and therapy.
Although the Milestone is conveniently located within an area where there are many bars and restaurants you can stay on site and enjoy international cuisine with the emphasis on modern British in a traditional Victorian setting. There is a secluded area off the main restaurant where up to 8 people can dine in slightly more intimate surroundings. The glass-roofed Conservatory gives a feeling of al fresco dining for breakfast, informal lunch or pre-theatre drinks , and the Park lounge provides a warm, cosy retreat for afternoon tea, its atmosphere enhanced by the open fire and rural views over Kensington Gardens. The Victorian feel is especially noticeable in the club-like Stable bar which was originally the coach house.
Business guests at the Milestone enjoy the same high standards. Delegates can use the Map Room or Windsor Suite, which is also licenced for Civil Weddings. There is a full range of state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and wireless broadband, and a dedicated events co-ordinator will help with the planning including dining, secretarial and logistical support. The Milestone also has Business Ready guest rooms which have additional workspace, 2 private phones and wireless internet access.
